Revisiting 00s US Indies #45

Necro Butcher & Toby Klein v The H8 Club (CZW, 6/11/05)

What a grimy unhinged madness of a thing. This took place about five hours after Necro v Joe on the IWA-MS card. THAT Necro v Joe. Basically Necro got the living shit beat out of him, went backstage, got taped up, maybe rolled the dice on being able to wake up from a CTR nap, put on some Air Maxes and a shirt and rolled back out for a tag match in the same building for a different company. Necro and Klein are a pair of homeless drifters, Gage and Pain are Semtex dealers living out of an abandoned church, there was only one way this was going to go. Klein is bleeding profusely after about 20 seconds, before Necro has even clothed himself and walked out from the locker room. I would not voluntarily be taking a chair shot from Nick Gage under any circumstances but Klein takes several here and they all look horrific. I've never seen anyone get thrown into a metal shutter the way Gage gets thrown into one here. Justice Pain getting flung off a balcony and going feet-first through a table is one of the more ludicrous things I've seen in a long time and then Necro, for the second time in several hours, takes a putrid flat back bump off the apron to concrete from a double suplex. Necro and Gage doing the meth head strike exchange where they sit and trade punches is the dumbest thing but also entirely believable given what we know about them and every one of these punches were revolting. Necro instigates a hailstorm of folding chairs on top of Nick Gage and hits a somersault senton into the aftermath, Gage himself underneath it all. Yet in the end, Necro can only be beaten about the head so many times before even his imperviousness to brain damage wilts. What goes around comes around, the poets tell us. What was this match if not poetry?
